Phasewake ("the app") is made by Digital Trade Baltic OÜ, Estonia. This policy explains what data the app and this website use and why.
Summary: Phasewake does not collect, sell or share your personal data. Everything stays on your watch and phone.
Data the app uses on your devices
- Alarms and settings – the times, days and options you set. Stored on your watch and phone.
- Movement and heart rate – read by the watch's sensors only around your alarm: from 30 minutes before your wake-up range (to learn your resting heart rate) until shortly after you are up, at most 40 minutes after the alarm. Used to find a good moment to wake you.
- Movement and heart rate during a nap – read only after you start a nap on the watch, until you stop the nap alarm (at most 60 minutes plus the alarm). Used to notice when you fall asleep and to wake you about 20 minutes later. A chart of the nap is kept like a morning chart.
- Morning charts – for each alarm with a wake-up range, a record of movement and heart rate every 30 seconds around the alarm and the moment the watch chose. Stored on your watch (last 14 mornings) and phone (last 60 mornings) so you can see them in History.
- Steps and movement after the alarm – counted for five minutes after you stop an alarm ("Are you awake?"). Only the result (awake or not, number of steps) is kept in the morning chart.
- Alarm history – when each alarm rang and when you stopped it. Stored on your watch and phone.
Data shared between your watch and phone
Your alarms, settings, alarm history and morning charts are synchronised between your own watch and phone using Google's Wear OS Data Layer. This transfer happens between your devices; Phasewake has no server and receives none of this data.
What the app does not do
- No account or sign-in.
- No advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No microphone or location.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Permissions
- Notifications and full-screen alarm – to show the alarm, also on a locked screen.
- Exact alarms – to ring on time.
- Physical activity / body sensors – for the "Are you awake?" check, to find the right moment to wake you and to notice when you fall asleep during a nap.
- Run at startup – to restore alarms after a restart.
Subscriptions
Phasewake is sold through Google Play as an annual subscription with a free trial. Purchases, renewals and cancellations are handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. The app receives only the status of your purchase from Google Play (for example, whether your subscription is active), never your payment details. The trial length and price are shown in Google Play before you buy.
Website
This website (phasewake.dtb.ee) uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider, Elkdata OÜ (Estonia), keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and the page requested) for security. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google may see your IP address when you open a page.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app from your watch and phone deletes all of its data. There is no account and no copy on a server.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data and to complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon). The app's data is only on your own devices, so you control it directly: uninstalling the app deletes it. For website logs or any other request, write to info@dtbaltic.ee.
